| Just a few snippets of current research: March 19, 2008 A uvular trill resynthesized and slowed down. Short algorithmic guitar duo: Counterpeds. December 5, 2007 RageRage uses the well-known line from Dylan Thomas' poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night". Epicycloids and Stringballs are functional: the position, speed and relative distance of the balls can be used as organic and playful ways to control musical parameters. Cubist Candle was made from a simple low-resolution video of a burning candle. Featherwater River and For the Third Ear reflect my interest in microtonal tunings. The first piece got its title from the work of Chuang-Tzu. Both, as well as Drops of Wonder, are ventures into pure sound synthesis (while hitherto I relied on (processed) samples as my sound sources). |
